The Convent’s herbalist shop

Days ago I received a letter from a reader of our magazine, which also talks about herbs, in which I was asked a simple question: do you also have an herbalist shop? Yes we have…. wanted by Fra Elia many years ago, as in all the Convents.

I can tell you that I am very proud of this herbalist shop that has grown little by little, following the requests of our pilgrims. I also work there (Fiorella)…since I am a herbalist graduated from the University of Siena. Of course we sell our products (including the little angels, the Convent’s delicacies and our extra virgin olive oil) but only in Italy…. also online. Regarding the online site we let Fra Sergio speak.

In August 2021, Erboristeria degli apostoli Shop On-Line sees the light of day. The plan to extend the product offerings to the general public takes shape in 2019. Not coincidentally, in September of that very year, the herbalist shop offers a line of personalized products, and Fra Elia has written on the packaging:

“ … God created the World. And in the World He created Nature, and in Nature His Essence ….”

This thought admirably sums up the purpose for which Herbalism was born, to make plants a tool to help man’s needs in the concrete knowledge that God’s essence lingers in creation. But to help people feel better with natural methods, not only do you have to create and produce goods with new or ancient formulas, but above all you have to believe strongly and firmly that there is a “ quid …” placed in nature to serve all creation and man.

The products we offer are all based on ancient recipes found in the most illustrious herbalist treatises and manuals. The customization of the formulations was personally taken care of by Fra Elia in collaboration with Fiorella Turolli, an experienced herbalist and a fine connoisseur of the mechanisms of natural medicine.
