On September 5 and 6, the two days of prayer with the Pilgrim Madonna were held at the convent of Calvi dell’Umbria, as has been the tradition since 2010. It is precisely our Heavenly Mother who asks Fra Elia every year to organize this moment.
Thanks to the reflections offered by Fra Elia and Don Marco, these were, as always, two days rich in opportunities for reflection on what it means to be Christians in today’s society.
Fra Elia managed to surprise us with two surprises.
The first was the mantle with which he adorned the statue of Our Lady.
The second was the Temple of Mary: the covering of the place where the altar used for the celebrations in the Garden of Olives is located. This covering was decorated with images from the life of Our Lady, chosen by Fra Elia himself.
We now leave the space to his words. :

Feast of September 5 and 6

The week before September 5 and 6, everything must be decorated because it is the feast of Our Lady.
The flowers must be prepared, everything must be in order, and nothing must be out of place, remembering that every flower has its own place.
This year, we blessed the Temple of Mary, where there is a representation of Our Lady, from her youth until her death.
It requires a lot of work and a lot of prayer, because everyone had to have their own place. And so each of us gave a hand in the work: the brothers of the family and I, the coordinator, so that everything could be done to perfection. It is beautiful when people work together, communicate with one another, and celebrate together.
Two days of prayer are two days of thanksgiving to Mary. It is not enough, because we pray every day, but those two days, September 5 and 6, are important because they are an unforgettable remembrance.
They are dates to remember and not to forget. So I ask all of you: when you pray, remember that Our Lady listens to us.
We can have a thousand problems, we can experience many unjust things, wounds that hurt, stabs in the back, gossip and talking behind our backs, but in the end we are here for Mary, and Mary’s love is great and is not something small.
I am sure that this year, once again, Our Lady has granted graces.
Every day, even if we do not see them and do not know about them.
But the beautiful thing is that she leaves you serene, peaceful, and with joy in your heart: the sharing of a smile, of speaking, of dialogue, and in the end, “Fiat Voluntas Tua” — Thy Will be done.
Not many words, not gossip, but few and good words.
And may the Lord bless all of you.
And stay close to Him, because the Lord never turns anyone away, but always seeks to draw everyone closer to Him.
Peace and goodness to all of you, from the heart.
Fra Elia of the Apostles of God
